Madrinas, partnered with Neopets, needed to bring the virtual pet world into a physical collector’s box featuring a custom shaker and cold brew coffee powder. Despite having little-to-no Neopets brand assets available, all visuals needed to feel unmistakably official to be approved by the partnership.
Capture the nostalgic, iconic Neopets style with unique, approved artwork that superfans would need to get their hands on. Illustrations would be based on real characters, items, and skins that align with the coffee and ice cream theme.
Inspired by the Neopets' customization screens, goofy personalities, and classic sparkly backgrounds, the assets were carefully illustrated in order to be approved by the Neopets team as official. This included custom packaging art, shaker personalization, and unique in-game wearables.
The launch was celebrated by fans, with the artwork becoming a major driver of interest and purchase. Many buyers commented that they purchased the product purely for the packaging and collectible design, reinforcing the value of seamlessly blending product and partner together.
